Know Thyself

• 1. I think I differ from most people due to my childlike imagination and mindset. I am not saying I am immature (I can be), but I think, even though I am legally an adult I can very easily get into a child's mindset. Also a lot of my believes stem from this mindset, along with my optimism and general bubbly personality. 
•  Faith in humanity, I have a lot of it even in people I do not know. I think everyone should be nice and considerate and respectful towards one another. I always think, or I try my hardest to have an open mind when it comes to people, which to me, translates to them being a good person. This is not always the case, and can get me into some sticky situations, but it always seems to work out in the end. 
• Kindness, I know that being nice is not a very unique thing but i am too nice sometimes to people who do not deserve it or did not ask for it. I alwasy try to be a positive person in every situation because you never know the other side to each persons story. I think people abuse kindness alot, which is so sad because kindness is such a powerful thing to be a part of and have. 
•  People tend to confide in me, so I guess I am approachable. I have been appraoched by strangers that openlingly tell me their life story or ask me for advice and though I think it is odd I always welcome converstaion. It goes back to kindess. I think it is just the vibe i give off or the way I come off as to others. I don't hate it and i think it will continue for a bit.
• My terminology or how I phrase things always seem to catch people off guard. I don't say anything bad, most people haven't heard my phrases whether it is becasue it is a regional thing or a generational thing. I always seem to throw people off, which makes me memorable to them because my name is a bit difficult to pronounce. People repeat what I say because they have never heard my phrase before like "peachy keen" or "Not the brightest bulb in the shed" .

2.) I interviewed my sister from Miami. Her name is Katelynn and basically when I asked her what qualities or skills did I have that made me stand out from others she said it was my compassion towards people, my honesty, and my caring personality.

•  My best friend Cheyenne Baglin has been with me since freshman year of high school. She said that I am always there for her and others in general, that i am a loyal person and that if you need me I am there.

•  I have known my friend Alex Acosta since we were in 6th grade, the fact that we even still talk surprises me. He basically said that I am a strong willed person, that has a goal in mind and is willing to put in the effort to achive it. Also that i would make a great boss becasue of said qualities.
  
  My other best friend Nicole Noda and I met freshman year playing soccer for our high school. She states that I am a reliable person, extremely  kind and hard working. She uses our time of soccer to support her statement that I am hard working, determined, and a fast learner.

My Friend Eddy Ortiz and I met My last semester of FIU. We have not known each other long but became really close when I left. He describes me as a strong, independent woman that is currently carving my path to my future. He also mentions that I am a caring person that will make you feeling better when you are down.

3.) Reflection:

Overall, I think most of my participants agree that I am a caring, selfless person who strives to reach the goals I set out for myelf. It was surprising to hear that being loyal and kind came up as much as it did along with reliable. I think a huge aspect about myslef that gets overlooked, or I thought was, is my emotional impact on people. I didn't realize how much I made people feel good about themsleves or helped people feel confortable opening up about personal topics. I knew that I had these qualities, but I guess it is easy to forget sometimes who you are and what you are about when life is constantly distracting you. My list will change more toward being loyal and determined rather than focusing on the little aspects of my personality like terminology. I agree with my friends about the characteristics they described me as, maybe not the extent they feel but then again I could just be modest about the whole thing. I only think of myself maybe slightly differently because i just see those traits as me and because i tend to be hard on myself, which leads to me kind of writting off all the good I am vs what i feel (if that makes any sense).
